Amazomania (2026)

In 1996, journalist Erling Söderström joins an expedition to the Amazon rainforest to initiate contact with the isolated Korubo tribe, amid rising deadly clashes with settlers. The group leaves after amassing dozens of hours of footage and photographs, which Söderström turns into an award-winning film. Swept up in idyllic memories, he revisits the Korubo three decades later, but is met with demands for reparations and the rights to their images which the tribe never consented for use.
