Cinema Owl Turns Chef (2020)

The Cinema Owl Turns Chef humorously explores the food chain, invites children into the world of baking, and reflects on the emotional value of our food. She presents an adaptation of a burlesque Japanese folktale and brings to life a popular song that is 150 years old! Alongside the recommendation of five fruits and vegetables a day, here are five delicious tales that the Owl, “wearing her chef’s hat,” has lovingly cooked up with the magic of animated cinema. The film has been widely screened at festivals and in young-audience programmes since its release in 2020. It was notably presented at family-oriented short film festivals such as Fenêtres sur Courts in Dijon, where it was included in the official selection for children aged 4 and up, as well as at the Rencontres des Cinémas d’Europe.
