Rehearsals for a Revolution (2026)

Through five intimate portraits, Pegah Ahangarani revisits 50 years of Iran’s history, revealing how political upheavals reverberate across generations. Beginning with her father’s journey from revolutionary idealism to disillusionment, the film follows her uncle’s hopes for reform, her teacher’s encounter with repression, Ahangarani’s political awakening during the 2009 Green Movement, and the new possibilities embodied by her young daughter.
