Event Description
In commemoration of International Women’s Day, join us for a screening of two local short films— drama-comedy One Last Supper (2025), followed by the documentary Reflections of a Housewife (2021). After the screenings, we sit down for a Q&A with filmmaker Alena Kristine Yeo as she shares her experience directing the latter film.
Synopsis of One Last Supper (2025):
A spirit-seeing daughter must race against time to save her mother’s spirit from turning into a Hungry Ghost by retracing her mother’s past life.

Synopsis of Reflections of a Housewife (2021):
This documentary takes an intimate look into the mind of the filmmaker’s mother, as she reflects on her often invisible role as a mother, wife and homemaker. The film sheds light on the unspoken woes of the housewife, questioning the social stigmas behind traditional roles in the household and subverting such social expectations.
